Heh. Truth. I like it...not so much a take on the prompt as a response to it. And one I can empathize with. To think there's people ritzing it up to hit up things like this while there's people starving in the streets...struggling to pay mortgages...and so on. Ridiculous.
Agree with you in regard to a strange world of decadence that I know nothing about. Powerful final lines to an excellent flowing poem. Cheers!
